Own the financial backbone of a small international manufacturing company and help shape the systems and processes behind it. 

The Role

Sytek Enterprises Inc. is looking for a hands-on finance professional who can independently manage the Finance & Controlling activities while taking ownership of Syteline V10 ERP environment, selected commercial administration topics and cross-functional business projects. The role works closely with management and acts as the financial counterpart to Sales, Purchasing, Production and Engineering.

  • Finance & Controlling: Closing, reporting, planning, liquidity, costing, payroll coordination, margins and management insight.
  • Syteline V10 ERP: Business ownership, data quality, costing logic, reporting structures and process improvement.
  • Business Administration: Commercial and corporate administration where a central finance perspective adds value.
  • Development Scope: Selected business projects and room to grow into broader commercial responsibility.

Core Responsibilities

The objective is not simply to report historical numbers. Finance should give management a clear picture of where the business stands, why performance is changing and where action is required.

Finance

  • Own monthly financial closing and coordinate yearend closing with external accountants and advisors.
  • Prepare monthly management reporting including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, working capital and relevant business KPIs.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis, and explain key performance drivers to management. 
  • Manage cash-flow and liquidity planning, accounts receivable, accounts payable and banking processes. 
  • Coordinate payroll preparation, review and reconciliation, including employee-related accruals and external providers. 
  • Own cost accounting, inventory valuation and reconciliation in a manufacturing environment. 
  • Analyze product, project and customer profitability, gross margins and cost development. 
  • Support pricing, investment and CAPEX decisions with structured financial analysis and business cases. 
  • Ensure appropriate financial controls and support audit, tax and statutory reporting with external specialists.

Syteline V10 ERP & Commercial Processes

Syteline V10 is currently the central ERP system and an important part of this role. You will act as the internal business owner and key user, ensuring that financial and operational information is reliable, consistent and useful for decision-making.

  • Own and continuously improve the finance and commercial use of Syteline V10. 
  • Ensure consistency between financial data, inventory, purchasing, sales orders and production information. 
  • Maintain appropriate structures for costing, master data and reporting. 
  • Improve data quality, reporting logic and the usability of information generated from the system. 
  • Support internal users and help standardize processes across functions. 
  • Identify inefficient or manual workflows and develop practical improvements. 
  • Support future integrations, system developments or potential ERP upgrades.

Business administration & development

The exact scope is intentionally broad and will evolve with the needs of the business. Finance & Controlling remain the core responsibility.

  • Coordinate selected commercial and corporate administration topics such as banks, insurers, accountants, lawyers and external service providers. 
  • Support HR-related administration where it sits outside the core payroll process. 
  • Contribute to commercial contract and document administration. 
  • Support purchasing and commercial negotiations from a financial perspective where appropriate. 
  • Take on selected projects such as process improvement, pricing, cost reduction, KPI development, make-or-buy analysis or CAPEX evaluations. 
  • Expand the role over time into additional areas where financial, commercial and analytical expertise adds value.

What you bring

  • Several years of progressive experience in Finance, Accounting or Controlling. 
  • Experience in a manufacturing, industrial or inventory-based business is strongly preferred. 
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow management and cost accounting. 
  • Strong ERP/MRP experience; Syteline V10 experience is a strong asset. 
  • Advanced Excel and analytical capabilities. 
  • Ability to translate financial information into practical business recommendations. 
  • CPA or comparable qualification is welcome; practical SME and manufacturing experience can be equally relevant.
